The Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI) is Tanzania’s national referral centre for cancer care, research, and training. Established as a specialised oncology facility, ORCI provides comprehensive cancer services including radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery, nuclear medicine, palliative care, and patient follow-up programs. The institute also runs awareness and screening campaigns, survivorship support, and nutritional counseling, while actively engaging in cancer research and regional training for healthcare professionals. As the country’s leading oncology centre, ORCI plays a central role in coordinating cancer control efforts nationwide and supporting patients with both medical treatment and psychosocial care.
