Aladina Home (Bless a Child Foundation)

Aladina Home is run by the Bless a Child Foundation (BCF) in Kampala, Uganda is a pioneering pediatric palliative-care facility dedicated to providing dignity, comfort, and psychosocial support to children and adolescents with terminal cancer and their caregivers. This unique home in Africa offers personalized care including a private room for a child and their caregiver, round-the-clock access to a palliative-care nurse and an on-call doctor, nutritious meals, pain relief, ambulance services, and a compassionate environment tailored for end-of-life comfort. The project was made possible through a generous €100,000 donation from Fundación Aladina and stands out as the continent’s first such specialized home.
