European Reference Network for Rare Adult Solid Tumors
Pan Africa
The European Reference Network for Rare Adult Solid Tumors (EURACAN) is a pan-European clinical and research network that brings together specialized centers to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and care of adults with rare solid cancers. These include complex and low-prevalence tumors such as sarcomas, rare thoracic cancers, endocrine tumors, neuroendocrine tumors, head and neck cancers, and rare urological and gynecological cancers. EURACAN facilitates cross-border collaboration among expert institutions, enabling shared clinical guidelines, virtual tumor boards, data registries, and joint research projects. By centralizing knowledge and expertise, the network ensures that patients with rare adult cancers have access to high-quality, standardized care regardless of their geographic location. It also supports training, education, and clinical trials across its network to reduce disparities and improve outcomes across Europe.
