Australian Comprehensive Cancer Network

Australia.

The Australian Comprehensive Cancer Network (ACCN) is a national, collaborative network designed to improve the quality, equity, and accessibility of cancer care across Australia. Led by Cancer Australia, the ACCN connects a wide range of services including Comprehensive Cancer Centres, regional and rural health services, research institutions, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health organisations, and primary care—into an integrated system. As a virtual network, it facilitates the sharing of expertise, data, and best practices to ensure that high-quality cancer care is delivered consistently and as close to home as safely possible, particularly for underserved and remote communities. Established as a key initiative under the Australian Cancer Plan, the ACCN promotes a standardised framework for excellence across the cancer care continuum, including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and palliative care. Through this collaborative model, the ACCN aims to reduce disparities and strengthen outcomes for all Australians affected by cancer.
