Cancer Research Network
United States
The Cancer Research Network (CRN) is a collaborative consortium of healthcare systems across the United States, primarily funded by the National Cancer Institute, that leverages large-scale electronic health data to conduct population-based cancer research. Established in 1999 and headquartered at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute in Seattle, the CRN integrates clinical, administrative, and cancer registry data from multiple member organizations to study cancer prevention, early detection, treatment, and survivorship in real-world settings. By enabling multi-site research across diverse patient populations, the CRN focuses on improving cancer outcomes, understanding treatment effectiveness, addressing disparities in care, and enhancing quality of life for cancer patients. Its work supports evidence-based cancer care and public health strategies aimed at reducing the overall burden of cancer.
