National Cancer Registry Network

Upper Mulago Hill Road, Kampala.

This is a national cancer surveillance network that collects and analyzes data on cancer incidence, mortality, and survival across Uganda. It is coordinated by the Uganda Cancer Institute and includes multiple regional population-based cancer registries such as those in Kampala, Gulu, Mbarara, and Mbale. The main goal of this network is to provide accurate and up-to-date data to guide public health planning, cancer control policies, research, and resource allocation. By tracking cancer patterns across regions, it helps identify areas with high disease burden and informs the design of prevention and treatment programs. This network is also supported by international health organizations and follows global standards for cancer registration.Collects and analyses data; informs policy and planning; tracks cancer burden and trends; guides where interventions are needed.
