Canadian Cancer Clinical Trials Network
Canada
The Canadian Cancer Clinical Trials Network (3CTN) functions as a national collaborative network that links cancer treatment centers, hospitals, research institutions, and healthcare professionals across Canada to strengthen the country’s academic clinical trial system. As a network, it facilitates coordination and resource-sharing among over 80 member sites, known as Network Sites, enabling them to efficiently conduct high-quality, non-industry (investigator-led) cancer clinical trials. This interconnected structure promotes unified trial processes, enhances patient recruitment, and ensures equitable access to cutting-edge treatments regardless of geographic location. 3CTN operates as a central hub that provides infrastructure support, performance metrics, and shared tools to streamline trial operations across Canada. By functioning as a cohesive network rather than isolated institutions, 3CTN fosters collaboration, consistency, and national impact in cancer research and care.
